Director, Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand
Armin Guttke serves in the role of Director for Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ), New Zealand’s peak body for future transport systems. ITSNZ promotes, supports, and advocates for a safer, more resilient, equitable, sustainable and efficient transport system in New Zealand.
Within his Directorship, Armin has led engagement with Government, and been a head judge for the annual T-Tech Transport Technology Awards. He has also contributed and spoken internationally through his participation on the ITS Global Summit International Advisory Committee. Prior to this Armin served as Founder and Chair of the New Zealand Young Transport Professionals (Te Waka Rangatahi), providing a national network for diversity, inclusion, and advancement of Aotearoa’s future transport and technology leaders.
Outside of ITSNZ, Armin has also held various private and public sector leadership roles with a regulatory, strategic, and enabling technology focus. Most recently, this has been at NZ Police where he led initiatives for the Digital & Mobility, and Cyber Security teams.
