Nurain Janah is a professional director, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
Nurain is the Founder of Rehendhi Consulting, advising multinational businesses on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters for strategic transformation.
Nurain serves on multiple advisory boards including as Advisory Board Member on the Oversight Committee for The Code of Practice for Online Safety and Harms; and she is a Member of the New Zealand National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women.
Nurain founded Authenticity Aotearoa in 2016, an award winning charity empowering women of colour to create equitable and inclusive workplaces. Nurain is also Founder and Chair at Kandūfā Foundation, a philanthropic initiative headquartered in Maldives and working in Asia Pacific region on leadership, climate action, and cultural heritage preservation with a focus on women and young people.
As Group Vice Chair at Hotels and Resorts Investments Maldives (HARIM), Nurain oversees a multi-industry family business. With over a decade of experience in corporate governance, finance and strategy, Nurain is a Chartered Accountant with the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ), a Fellow Member of CA Maldives, and a Certified Member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand (INFINZ), and holds a BSc in Economic Geography and a Masters in Accounting.
